Acesta demonstratie est facuta la o Scoala de Pompieri, cu o tigaie adanca pusa pe foc.
La sfarsitul clipului, un expert, instructor de pompieri, purtand un costum de protectie, si folosind o ceasca cu apa de 8 oz (circa 200 g), arunca apa pe focul produs de arderea grasimii, de la o distanta de circa 10 picioare (circa 3 m).
Incendiul rezultat, va va atrage si dumneavoastra atentia la fel ca si elevilor de la Scoala de Pompieri.

Apa aruncata, fiind mai grea dacat grasimea ce arde deja, se va duce in partea de jos a vasului incins, si se va incalzi si ea (apa), instantaneu (foc sus – grasimea incandescenta, foc jos de la aragaz). Aburul rezultat, (avand un volum mult mai mare decat apa lichida) are o forta exploziva uluitoare si arunca uleiul aprins in sus si in afara. In camp deschis, acesta ar deveni o « minge incandescenta » cu un diametru de circa 30 de picioare (circa 9 m), generand o explozie ce se asemana ca aspect cu o mica explozie nucleara. In interiorul limitat al unei bucatarii, « mingea de foc » loveste cu putere si distruge plafonul si intreaga incapere.
De asemenea, este interzis sa aruncati cu zahãr sau cu fãinã, peste grãsimea incandescenta. O singura astfel de ceascã aruncata, creeaza o explozie ce are puterea a douã dinamite.
